Introduction

<\/strong>Plesk is commercial web hosting data center automation software developed for Linux- and Windows-based commercial hosting service providers. Plesk was designed to install and manage web hosting systems and applications on a single server. The control panel is designed to simplify the management and administration of the websites by automating various tasks on a single server. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Plesk’s control panel allows a server administrator to set up new websites, reseller accounts, e-mail accounts, and DNS entries through a web-based interface. The administrator can create client and site templates, which predetermine resource-allocation parameters for the domains and\/or clients.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Plesk template<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

In TechPlusHost VPS dashboard you are able to install Plesk template for Linux and Windows VPS really easy and fast, only with few mouse clicks:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. Login to the Clients Portal;<\/li>
  2. Select at the top of the menu the “Products&Services<\/em>” > “Select the VPS<\/em>” on the list;<\/li>
  3. Press the “Scroll Down<\/em>” to Server Information;<\/li>
  4. Press the “Install OS<\/em>” button;<\/li>
  5. Choose an operating system, agree with warning and press “Continue<\/em>“;<\/li>
  6. Wait for 5-10 minutes and refresh VPS management page.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    1. Plesk initial set up<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Plesk uses 8880<\/strong> port, so to connect to control panel  for the first time on your internet browser enter:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    \nhttp:\/\/ip_of_your_server:8880\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

    You will be displayed with some fields to enter contact email address, password and license key:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Once this is done you will be redirected to log in screen:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    You can connect using username “admin<\/em>” and the password you just entered during initial setup.
    Note. You can also use username “root<\/em>” for Linux and “Administrator” for Windows with a password provided in the Clients Area site.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    After initial setup is complete, on your first login, you will be present with a window to add your first and main domain in order to unlock full functionality of panel:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    2. Adding the new user account to Plesk

    <\/strong>Onleft menu choose “Users<\/em>” and then press the button “Create User Account<\/em>“. Fill the form and create your new user:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    3. Adding Email Account<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

    On the left side menu, choose “Mail<\/em>” and then press “Create Email Address<\/em>” button on the top.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

    4. Adding New FTP user<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

    On the left side menu, choose “Websites & Domains<\/em>“, then choose “FTP Access<\/em>” and then “Add an FTP account<\/em>” button on the top.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

    5. Adding Database<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

    On the left side menu, choose “Databases<\/em>“, then “Add Database<\/em>” button on the top.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

    6. Adding Additional Domain

    <\/strong>On the left side menu, choose “Website & Domains<\/em>“, then “Add Domain<\/em>” button on the top.

    7. Password reset<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Plesk UI:<\/strong> On the left choose “My Profile<\/em>” and fill “Password<\/em>“, “Confirm password<\/em>” filed and save.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    SSH:<\/strong> Run the command:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    plesk bin admin --set-admin-password -passwd \"*****\"<\/code>

    Note.<\/strong>“*****”<\/em> should be replaced with your actual new password.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
